Monday Night Women: Week 6 Preview

The Monday Night Women’s League at Akron Indoor Soccer is returning from the holiday break as the teams enter the second half of the season. Here is a preview of the two games scheduled for January 8th:

Scrubs (3-1-1) vs Rusty Shots (2-2)

The Scrubs are looking to extend their winning streak to four games as they face the Rusty Shots for the first time this season. The Scrubs have been dominant on both ends of the field, scoring 32 goals and conceding 26 in their five games so far.

The Rusty Shots are hoping to bounce back from a 7-9 loss to the Hot Feet last week. The Rusty Shots have been inconsistent this season, alternating between wins and losses. They have scored 39 goals and allowed 29 in their four games.

This game could be a close contest, as both teams have shown flashes of brilliance and weakness. The Scrubs will try to exploit the Rusty Shots’ defensive lapses, while the Rusty Shots will try to catch the Scrubs off guard with their quick counterattacks.

Y-Town 45 (1-4) vs Hot Feet (3-1)

The Y-Town 45 are still searching for their second win of the season as they take on the Hot Feet, who are tied for the top spot in the league. This game could be a one-sided affair, as the Hot Feet have a clear advantage over the Y-Town 45 in terms of form, firepower, and confidence. The Y-Town 45 will have to play their best game of the season to have a chance against the Hot Feet, who will look to maintain their momentum and challenge for the title.

Bye week for Fabulous Fireballs (2-3-1)

The Fabulous Fireballs will have a week off to rest and regroup after a disappointing start to the season. The Fabulous Fireballs have been inconsistent this season, winning two, losing three, and drawing one of their six games. They have scored 28 goals and conceded 32 in their six games.

The Fabulous Fireballs will hope to use the bye week to improve their chemistry and performance, as they aim to climb up the standings and challenge for the playoffs. They will resume their season in week seven against the Scrubs, who are currently in second place.

Tuesday Night Men’s 50 League: Fireballs GFS and Summit FC lead the pack

The Tuesday Night Men’s 50 League at Akron Indoor Soccer featured some competitive games in the ninth week of the season, as Fireballs GFS and Summit FC continued their impressive form, while Fireballs Rays and Kitec Red won close games against their opponents.

My Adidas- Team in Black 5, The Buffoons 9

The Buffoons registered their second win of the season, as they beat My Adidas- Team in Black by a 9-5 scoreline. The Buffoons were in control of the game from the start, scoring four goals in the first half and five in the second half. My Adidas- Team in Black tried to keep up with the pace, but could not overcome the deficit. The Buffoons improved their record to 2-7, while My Adidas- Team in Black dropped to 3-6.

Yellow 11, ACH FC 12

Sharp Shooters 7, Y-Town 2.0 4

Sharp Shooters showed their scoring prowess as they defeated Y-Town 2.0 by a 7-4 margin. The game was close in the first half, as both teams exchanged goals and ended the period tied at 3-3. Buckeye Bullets 14, BB2 4
