This state-of-the-art playing surface is now ready to welcome players for practice sessions and competitive league games scheduled to commence in November.

The first session of league play is eagerly anticipated to kick off in the first week of November, marking an exciting phase for local soccer enthusiasts and teams looking forward to showcasing their skills on this pristine surface.

Exciting changes are underway at Akron Indoor Soccer as the facility undergoes a significant transformation. After 30 years of service, the old turf field is being replaced with a state-of-the-art playing surface, promising an enhanced experience for all players and spectators.

The new turf installation marks the beginning of a series of renovations aimed at modernizing the facility. The process, which is expected to take roughly ten days, will provide teams with one of the best and newest fields in Northeast Ohio1. This upgrade is part of Akron Indoor Soccer’s commitment to maintaining a top-tier environment for local soccer enthusiasts.

In addition to the new playing surface, Akron Indoor Soccer is also updating several other key areas of the facility. New floors are being installed throughout, ensuring a fresh and clean look. The bathrooms are being completely renovated to offer improved comfort and accessibility for all visitors. Furthermore, new bleachers are being added to enhance the viewing experience for fans, and various painting projects are underway to give the facility a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

New Field Turf Installation Begins This Week

This week begins the removal and installation of the new field turf at Akron Indoor. The process should take roughly ten days to complete. Once finished, Your teams will be competing on the best and newest field in Northeast Ohio. 

We are excited to share even more updates to the building in the coming weeks in preperation for the new sessions at Akron Indoor Soccer.

Wednesday Night Women League: You Can’t Sit With Us Wins Session 2. FFC 2nd With One Week Left.

As the Wednesday Night Women’s League at Akron Indoor Soccer heads into the final stretch, Week 9 saw some thrilling action that set the stage for a dramatic conclusion.

Goals Gone Wild faced a tough match against Sharp Shooters, with the latter showcasing their precision and skill to secure a commanding 9-3 victory. This win keeps the Sharp Shooters in contention for the 3rd spot as they head into the final week.

In a high-scoring affair, FFC demonstrated their offensive prowess by outmaneuvering Y-Town with a decisive 12-5 scoreline. FFC’s relentless attack proved too much for Y-Town’s defense, solidifying FFC’s position near the top of the league standings.

You Can’t Sit With Us continued their dominant run, overcoming Mom’s Night Out with a solid 7-2 win. Their consistent performance throughout the season has been nothing short of impressive, earning them the championship title with one week to spare.

The AKC Eggplants and Goal Diggers faced off in a match that was crucial for both teams. The Eggplants emerged victorious with an 8-4 score, keeping their hopes alive for climbing up the ranks in the final week.

Looking ahead to the final week’s games:

  • Sharp Shooters will take on Mom’s Night Out in a match that poses a significant challenge for the latter. Mom’s Night Out, still seeking their first points of the season, will have to overcome a team tied for third place. Post-match plans for Mom’s Night Out include a well-deserved drink, regardless of the outcome.
  • The Buckeye Bullets and Y-Town are set to clash in a pivotal battle for third place. With only two points separating them, both teams will be eager to claim victory and improve their standing.
  • Goal Diggers and Goals Gone Wild will go head-to-head in a match that could shake up the lower half of the table. Goals Gone Wild, currently in seventh place, will aim to fend off the eighth-placed Goal Diggers.
  • In their second game of the week, Goals Gone Wild will face the AKC Eggplants. The Eggplants have a chance to leapfrog several teams and secure a top-three finish with a win.

Stalemate for Sixth: In a match where defense reigned supreme, the Fireballs – Rays held their ground against Fireballs – GFS, with neither team able to break the deadlock, ending the game at a 0-0 draw. This result left the Fireballs – Rays tied for sixth place alongside the Bourbon Bandits, both teams finishing the season with a record of 3-6-1.

Fireballs – GFS Blaze to the Top: Fireballs – GFS showcased their offensive prowess in a high-scoring affair, outplaying Kitec Red with a 12-7 victory. This triumph secured their spot at the top of the league, finishing tied for first with an impressive record of 8-0-1.
