Sunday Coed League: Week 2 Recap, Merica, Serb Patrol Win Big.

The second week of the Sunday Coed League at Akron Indoor Soccer saw some thrilling matches and high-scoring games. Here are the highlights of the four games played on February 18, 2024.

Team Dauberman vs Chill FC

In a nail-biting finish, Chill FC edged out Team Dauberman by one goal, 9-8, to maintain their perfect record. Team Dauberman, who lost their opening game by a large margin, put up a spirited fight and led 5-4 at halftime. However, Chill FC came back strong in the second half and scored five goals, including the winner in the final minute. Team Dauberman tried to equalize, but ran out of time.

Merica vs A Really Bad Team

Merica bounced back from their opening loss with a convincing 12-3 win over A Really Bad Team, who remained winless. Merica dominated the game from start to finish, scoring six goals in each half and keeping a tight defense. A Really Bad Team struggled to create chances and only managed to score three consolation goals in the second half.

Nameless vs Un-Zippers

Nameless continued their winning streak with a 10-7 victory over Un-Zippers, who suffered their first loss. Nameless showed their offensive prowess, scoring five goals in each half and displaying a variety of skills. Un-Zippers tried to keep up, but could not match the pace and creativity of Nameless. Un-Zippers scored four goals in the first half and three in the second, but it was not enough to prevent Nameless from taking the three points.

[REDACTED] vs Serb Patrol

Serb Patrol proved their dominance with a 20-5 rout of [REDACTED], who had their first game of the season. Serb Patrol scored 10 goals in each half, showing no mercy to their opponents. [REDACTED] had no answer to the relentless attack of Serb Patrol, who scored at will and did not let up. [REDACTED] scored three goals in the first half and two in the second, but it was a mere drop in the ocean.
